Mirandus Enters Early Access with Public Preview Build

Web3 MMORPG Mirandus, a highly anticipated title from the Gala Games ecosystem, is transitioning from its limited-time playtests to a more permanent early access phase. The Public Preview build is set to launch on November 15th, providing players with extended opportunities to engage with the game before its official release.

Joining the Mirandus Public Preview Build

While this public build will feature ongoing server availability leading up to the game’s official debut, access to play is not complimentary. To participate, players must possess an Exemplar NFT linked to their Gala Games account. These NFTs serve as playable avatars within the game, representing one of five distinct races and 25 different ancestries, with plans for future ancestries to be introduced. The available races include: Human (Rare), Orc (Epic), Dwarf (Epic), Halfling (Legendary), and Elf (Ancient), with Elves being the most elusive. Each ancestry offers unique advantages; for instance, a Brightsun Elf can transform energy into health during the daytime, while a Glimmering Clan Dwarf enjoys enhanced mining capabilities.

Since Exemplar NFTs are currently sold out on Gala’s official platform, interested players can acquire them through secondary marketplaces like OpenSea or NFTHarbor. On OpenSea, which operates on the Ethereum blockchain, the starting price for these NFTs is around 997 $GALA at present. Alternatively, NFTHarbor, the first NFT marketplace built on GalaChain, offers the chance to buy an Exemplar NFT on the ecosystem’s native network, with the minimum price for a special avatar at 1750 $GALA.

Features of the New Mirandus Public Preview Build

The upcoming Public Preview build promises players a unique perspective, described as “an elf’s-eye view of the world,” allowing for exploration of beautifully crafted low-poly landscapes. The development team continues to enhance the game in preparation for the eventual official launch, which remains on the horizon, as noted in their announcements. Players will be able to download this build on PC starting November 15th, but only those with an Exemplar NFT in their Gala account will have access. Unlike the previous limited-time playtests, this early version will keep servers consistently operational, enabling NFT holders to explore the game world at their leisure.

At this stage, no additional significant features have been disclosed, though more detailed information is anticipated to surface once the build is live. It remains uncertain whether this new version will offer NFT rewards similar to those in earlier playtests. Early indications suggest that players will not be able to earn the $MTRM utility token in the current build. However, when implemented in future updates, players will have the ability to use the Materium token for crafting, spellcasting, enhancing skills, and teleporting valuable items for trade.

Development Updates and Community Engagement

Players can stay updated on the progress of Mirandus by visiting the dedicated section on Gala Games’ official Discord server. Developers frequently share updates, showcasing not only the latest changes but also exciting images and videos that provide a glimpse into the game’s development. Recent efforts appear to have focused on crafting 3D models and concept art, enhancing animations and visual effects, refining level designs, and developing intricate lore.

The last playtest for Mirandus occurred at the end of August this year, featuring a newly introduced area known as the Rolling Hills. Participants had the opportunity to craft weapons and gather resources while engaging in combat and hunting for the elusive Golden Rabbit. All participants received a commemorative NFT, and those fortunate enough to capture the Golden Rabbit received an additional special NFT as a reward.
